At Stutz Cabins, one of our most beloved traditions is the family Logbook. Holding decades of memories, the Logbook is the story of countless trips to our Heimatfels, or Homeland on the Rocks.
Here you’ll see additional photos of the cabins, Estes Park, and the surrounding areas.

"Children running amok".... Gratifying to hear that the G5's are carrying on the 60+ year-old tradition established by the G3's!

We had our annual Stutz-Heimatfels reunion June 25-29, it was a good turnout with 27 people. There were 3 babies 12 months and younger: Gianna, Sophia, and Frances. An additional 7 children 13 years and younger, a great time for cousins to play on the rocks, make bead bracelets and paint rocks. The place was rocking with all of the children running amok, adults cooking meals, cleaning-up and catching up with each otherโs lives. Abby and Brian Coltrane family came the furthest from Wiesbaden, Germany, others came from Walla Walla, WA, Austin, TX, Kansas City, KS, and nearby CO towns. The best part were the quiet conversations I had with each family member to learn what they are doing, future aspirations, and plans. It was fun being out in nature at SH as well as in Rocky Mountain National Park. I look forward to many more gatherings at Heimatfels with my dear family in the future. Thank you Papa Stutz for your vision and legacy to all of us.

What a great family reunion! New family members-3 babies under 1 year of age joined the crowd of 8 kids age (almost) 2-(almost) 13!
Cookout, rock climbing, adventures in the park, deer, red fox and of course the family meeting.
Let's post photos!
love you all

I love going to Stutz-Heimatfels every summer, breathing the fresh mountain air feeling the openness of the landscape with the gorgeous view of Longs Peak and the front range! My family loves scrambling on the granite rocks behind the House, roasting marshmallows over the fire, and watching the stars.
